Any good player can always use that little bit of extra boost or even a little help with sustain.  The CS-3 by Boss is an industry standard on many pedal boards I have seen on the road in my years.  I specifically came up with a mod for this pedal because though I have seen many, I have also heard a few universal wishes about the pedal.  In the CS-3 “Extractor” mod we address the issues of signal loss, noise floor and hiss.  We begin by combing through the power circuit and getting the pedal as quiet as we can.  After that we put the circuit in our patent probably never pending transmogrification process to squeeze out as much range as possible in the bass while making the highs more musical in their tonal quality.  After a quick whip around the circuit we then increase the input range and tame the hiss factor way down.  All in all the “Extractor” is a mod meant to help you reach out and touch your audience with every note.

The ever popular Boss CS-3 is a mainstay in the world of pedal board compression. With The Popularity of our previous “Extractor” mod we have by popular demand tweaked the circuit even further to create a new version…the “Extractor Deluxe”. In this pedal we take the mods in our previous model to the extreme. With a wave of the magic soldering iron we have provided a scooch more headroom and sustain than the standard “Extractor “mod. This has been requested by players searching for that nudge of extra epic sustain in their suspended notes…as well as richer overtones; to compliment the extra headroom and sustain we have added the option of the “Silencer” Switch. As we all know background hiss and noise can be the biggest problematic drawback of compression. With the silencer switch installed you can at the flip of a switch kill the added background noise that comes about from the peaked levels of the new mod, taming that beast of compressor hiss like never before.
